Caregiving in the COVID-19 Crisis

We are all looking for ways to #stay safe and #stay healthy at this critical point in the COVID-19 Crisis. According to the CDC, older adults experience a gradual deterioration of their immune system. That makes it harder for an aging body to fight off diseases and infection. Many are also more likely to have underlying conditions that hinder the body’s ability to cope and recover from illness.

Lori La Bey of Alzheimer’s Speaks shares how those taking care of loved ones with dementia cope with an even more stressful situation.  Carla Beaurline of Around Town TV and also a caregiver for her two parents stricken with cancer, share how they cope with daily stresses and cancer treatments. Both share on how we all can make our community strong.
